My latest painting. I first painted this in Oil and then decided to give it a try in Watercolor. As most know, I have been painting almost exclusively in Watercolor for the past few years, but want to get back into oils so I gave this one a go. I’m relatively happy with both. In the Oil which I did first, I continue to learn how to handle the differences between mediums. I learned some things here, for example more contrast in the foreground tree and definition in the foreground grasses that helped with this version.
